Question: Lifter hitting loud on top end, what should i do?

just getting my truck running again been sitting for 13 years, when i finally got it fired up sounds like the lifter is stuck, changed the oil and added a couple of quarts of transmission fluid, do you think the lifter will clean itself and be fine after being ran awhile, or is it going to ha to be taken apart.

It may eventually quiet down. Run it for a while longer and see. It shouldn't hurt as long as you have good oil pressure. Maybe hold the rpms a little higher, you can also put thicker oil.
