Question: lights dim

I have a brand new battery in 98 Chevy S10. Won't start if it's cold out. While driving when I push in clutch and hit brakes, battery gauge goes left and my headlights dim. Everything else works fine.

Have your charging system tested. Your brake lights are enough to burden the charging system and the battery may not be getting recharged sufficiently. Most auto parts stores will test your charging system for free, call around to find a local shop that has the equipment.
