Question: Loud creaking noise when turning steering wheel

Loud creaking noise when turning the steering wheel - just noticed the steering feels to wander while driving. It feels loose. Obviously know it would need an alignment, but what would cause such creaking and squeaking? Sounds like an old barn door that needs to be greased.

I would have a shop inspect it. Esp one that deals in hybrids. Noises needs to actually be heard to be diagnosed.
