Question: Low Engine Oil?

My engine oil is very low. I've put 3 quarts in since I noticed and still nothing shows up on the stick. Smoke comes from the hood whenever I park as well but there is no oil pooling underneath the car. At least not much that I can see. My car has a little over 170,000 miles.

You need to get the il leak fixed. The smoke is the oil leaking onto the exhaust. That coould start a fire under the hood. Most of the time the oil leak is your valve cover gaskets.
