It is almost impossible to change an odometer on a vehicle with a digital display. But look for signs of wear (accelerator pedal, driver's seat springs vs. passenger seat...) to verify lack of use. In general, a truck with 40k and 140k are very hard to confuse. I would be more concerned with this being a 'salveaged' but cleaned up title from Hurricane Sandy with possible saltwater damage. In general, this is something to be on the alert for when buying any type of car. Have it carefully checked over before purchase, whatever you buy.
