Question: Malfunctioning Window

Driver's side window not able to be lowered. Heard a snap in the door well just prior to malfunction. Ford dealership says I need a 'regulator' that will cost $500+ inclusive of labor. Thoughts?

That does sound like the regulator. You can probably get the repair done for a better price at an independent shop. Dealerships are the most expensive place to have repairs done, call around for local estimates.
