Question: Misfire? Timing Belt?

2002 Bravada, runs rough, check engine light falshes during acceleration and then lights solid, I replaced the plugs it doesnt help. It has 134000 miles on it, also when i stopped i thought i smelled something burning but when i popped the hood i smelled nothing

If the check engine light is on, have it scanned for codes. It's impossible to know what the problem is without knowing why the check engine light is on.
