Question: Mitsubishi Brake Problem
I have a 2001 Mitsub Montero, ABS and brake sign show on dash board plus buzzing noise. Brakes are hard to apply
I took it to a repair shop, did diagnosic. And to see if the problem will go away, he changed the rear wheel rotor and break pads and fixed sensor problem. The problem still persist and the mechanic told me that he has to change the whole ABS unit which is costly.
I checked what has been recall on it. I found out that SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:POWER ASSIST:VACUUM was recalled on August 2001. I bought the vehecule around Feb of 2002 from Mitsubishi dealer and I am not sur if the recalled piece was replaced and if it is the cause of the problem now.
What should I do? Thank you
