Question: My 1996 Mitsubishi Spyder has trouble starting after it sits awhile.
Just purchased a 1996 Mitsubishi Spyder convertible. I was told if it sat for awhile it would have trouble starting and I needed to replace the fuel regulator which I have done but it did not solve the problem. It cranks over strong but wont fire up for a LONG time. I am affraid I will burn up the starter keeping on trying it. I also found the battery was completely draining over night (replaced battery 3x with brand new all same results) and found a short somewhere with the AC unit. I tested the fuses and that one lit up bright on 12 volt tester method. I pulled the fuse and now battery stays charged but I can not pin point what is causing the drain on the AC. Please help with these 2 issues as I have already spent so much just trying to get a diagnosis and no one has any ideas and I do not want to blindly start replacing parts as I am going through that with a second vehicle and it has cost me dearly. Ideas for the hard start would be appreciated.
