Have your alternator tested for open diodes. When your oil pressure gauge is not fluctuating, is the reading too low? If so, have the oil pressure tested with an external gauge.

Have you scanned for codes? If so, what are they?

For the idle problem, check for vacuum leaks. Clean the IAC (idle air control) valve and the throttle body. Check for proper EGR operation.

Oil pressure gauge wil read 60. Thenwill fluctuate anddrop to 20 and fluctuate to 20-30 psi until u get goin down the road it will jump back up to 55-60 psi no codes show up every few miles service engine soon light comes on. For 4 min and goes back off and no codes stored no vaccume leaks cleaned iac but dont know how to check to see if its bad and also do not know how to check for proper egr operation i have oil leaking from rear main seal could that cause any of these problems and rpms wil fluctuate between400 500 600 until engine sounds like its suckn in to much air(hissing) and then will stall wen slowing down it seemslike engine wil stall but doesnt and the head lights will dim for a second until rpms jump up i have spent about double what i payed for this truck and hope yall can give me the advice to get this truck running like its supose to
