Question: My ABS & emergency light pops on after driving a couple miles but not all the time

Check the brake fluid level, and have the system scanned for diagnostic codes, that is what the lights are telling you to do.

The brakes level is correct. After searching the problem on Google I was instructed to replace a sensor.

Sorry, that is a very ambiguous question. There are many sensors on your car. You need to take your vehicle to a repair shop and have them scan it for diagnostic codes, and then troubleshoot in the direction the code indicates. You have a code (error) set, that is why the ABS light is coming on.
