Question: My a/c is not working right.

I have a 2004 Ford Mustang 3.9L v6. Whenever I turn on my a/c, I notice a considerable drop in horsepower and torque. The air is ice cold, but I know that the drop in hp and torque cant be good. Also, whenever i go over about 3500 rpm, my battery light comes on, then goes right back off. Whats wrong?

I would have your alternator checked. The HP loose could be from low voltage to the computer.
