Question: My Car is dropping speed while driving and or stalling at stops

After entering the freeway my car dropped from 70mph to 60mph and it acted like it was going to die I tapped on the gas and it started acting fine..... I then stopped at a gas station to check out the car and as I went to leave it died after I backed up a few feet and now it seems to be dying when I'm at stops.... Could this be a bad senor? (if so which senor) or could it be bad gas? I replaced the fuel filter yesterday.
