Question: My car is surging and choking out while driving mostly on 1st start up in morning

Been doing this for about 6 months,mechanic try a few things like transmition update but it didnt help, engine light came on 2 weeks ago, called for an oxygen sensor, replaced that and still doing the same thing... Any suggestions??

Maybe the engine temp sensor if it only happens when cold. Check the codes again, check for vacuum/air leaks.
