Question: My car won't start, what could it be?

My car won't start up. I think it is the battery, but I want to be sure. I tried to start my car two days ago and it would not start. I opened the hood and there was a lot of corrosion on on of the battery prongs. I gave the car a jump and it started, but the next morning, it was dead again. My car alarm also clicks even though the battery is dead. I also noticed that it flashed the word "fuse" where my milage is, and when I opened the door, the gas gauge went up to full, and when I closed the door it went back down to empty, what could that be?

Check the condition of the battery, run a load test.

Clean and secure the battery connections.

Check all the fuses.

Check the condition of the charging system.

It goes without saying that these pieces wear out, but they do so slowly, meaning you may not notice they need attention until ...
