Question: my friend has a 2002 jeep grand cherokee overlander

my friend has a 2002 jeep grand cherokee overlander and she was going 60mph and speed dropped to 45 she gave it gas and it didnt pick up speed the rpm shot way up and it started smoking the brakes and steering locked up and stalled it will roll over but not start can you tell me whats wrong with it

Sounds like an engine failure, maybe due to overheating or loss of oil pressure. You may need to tear the engine down to find the specific failure.
