Question: my heater has started blowing hot, then cold air. doesn't

my heater has started blowing hot, then cold air. doesn't stay hot, now I'm overheating.
what is causing this?

The engine is overheating? Check the cooling system asap... don't drive it if it's overheating! You will damage the engine!

Maybe it's just low on coolant and the air pockets were causing the heater not to function? You need to go over the entire cooling system.
