Question: my overflow continues to leak

my overflow in my 5.0 H.O. continues to lose water and there is no signs of it leaking . I just replaced all hoses, and thermostat. there are no leaks in the water pump, radiator or any gaskets. But my water pump is starting to squeal so i know i need to replace it soon. why do i keep losing water in my overflow?

Make sure you have no leaks at all, do a cooling system pressure test.

The cap could be leaking (not holding enough pressure) or you could have a blown head gasket.
