Question: My power locks do not work anymore on my truck doors?!

I just recently had two speakers installed in my 1997 dodge ram 4x4 regular cab. Nothing out of the ordinary was done. However NOW, my power locks do not work. I can hear the left side clicking; however it does not grab the lock. I hear nothing on the right passenger side. The remote does not work for it either but I can use it to start my truck, and my windows work fine. I have never had any actuator problems and it literally happened after the stereo guy installed my speakers.

It could be a coincidence, but the likelihood that the stereo guy caused the problem is too high to ignore. Your choices are to go back to the shop that installed the stereo and complain--it wouldn't be too much for them to remove the door panels and inspect their work--or to just try to find the problem yourself.

Here's a video on how to remove the panels, you should be able to find the problem with the lock linkage by visual inspection:
