Question: my truck makes a squeaking noise

i have a 2002 ford edge truck, it has a squeaking noise sounds like it is coming from the top of the engine while it is running. I've checked the belt and it is tight. I replaced the tensioner also.

Serpentine belts can be tight and still make noise/slip. And the idler pulley can also make noise. But if you pull the belt off and it still makes the noise, it could be the camshaft sychronizer at the back of the engine. More info here:
