Question: need some help

Feels Like>> Vehicle is sluggish>> When I need passing power and press the accelerator to the floor>> Yes>> just recently had a new water pump and gaskets installed, along with a new timing belt. motor was re timed, and now after getting it back its sluggish , no passing power at all from third to fourth gear you can feel the motor hesitating and can deffinatly hear a sputter coming from the rear of the muffler, also ruled out the catylitic converter. car also had brand new distrubuter cap and plugs

The first things to do would be to check the valve timing, and the ignition timing.
