Question: New horn installation affect my alarm?

I was in a collision in Jan. 2012. I have had to return to the auto body shop about 7 times now for things they missed. The last trip a couple of weeks ago was for a non functioning horn. Now my security system honks when I lock the car. It used to do that only if I hit the button twice very close together. Could this be caused by the new horn installation? Now this one is a stretch, but it was also hard to start too. It is a 2004 Mazda 3 2.3 liter with about 58,000 miles on it. Thanks!

If the horn was non functional, you may have had the issue since the accident, but just didn't now it.

It sounds like a configuring issue. Give the dealer a call and see if the horn function is programmable. It may have been reset to a different setting.
