Question: no ac or air out of ventin cab only at defoster

why no air out vents in truck.? 2 fan squeals.?cheep fix?? # do i have to pull the hole dash out to fix?? 4 coolant leak by fire wall on this truck.? 5 this ram also has 5.9 Cummings in it

The vent issue sounds like a mode door is stuck.

All of them are located under the dash board and usually are difficult to get to. Yours are probably controlled by electronic actuators that are operated by the computer. The actuator is usually the part that fails. It's about a $50 part, but the labor can be fairly expensive depending on which one has failed and how much of the dash has to be disassembled to access it.

As to the coolant leak. That is probably a heater core problem, and yes the dash would need to come out. If you want to see how much of a job it is, check our Repair Cost Calculator for a heater core. If it is a lot of labor, it will be a fairly complex repair.

thanks a lot.. have you heard of Heater Theater.net 3 Est all 4 blend doors repair kits $150.00 for repair kits ..
