Question: no power during turn

As I attempted to make a turn, all power went out--no power steering, no brakes, all lights on the dash flashing. Had to put the car in park and restart the ignition. Later in a turn, same thing happened. First, thought the turn signal was shorting out the electrical sys. Now wondering if the problem is the steering column problem mentioned in the recall.

Does sound like it could be a short, hard to say. Check the engine control module for any fault codes too.
