Question: oil light comes on at idle

This happens after complete warm up and seems to be while the a/c is running. Could it be heat from engine fan causing oil pressure switch to fail?

Usually it's best to replace the switch and see if the lamp comes back on. It sounds like you may have an oil pressure issue. With the engine hot at idle, the oil pressure is lowest. With the AC on you are increasing the load and the under hood temperatures, causing the oil to get thinner. If the pumps worn it wont be able to produce enough oil pressure with these conditions.

First try an oil change with a one step thicker oil. If you still have pressure problems you'll need to replace the oil pump
