Question: p0402 check engine light

Car has poor gas miliage, smells from exhaust pipe, and the track assist light comes on at the same time as the check engine light. I tried to check on a egr but can't find one on this vehical. has a 4.7L and is a 2wd. Checked the pcv and did look very old but no idea if it is working properly.

Are you sure it's p0402? That code isn't listed for your vehicle. It doesn't use an EGR system.

Maybe you mean p0420 which is usually a bad cat.
