Question: Passenger side hot, drivers side cool

I can get warm air on the passenger side of the car but the drivers side only blows cool air.
The car has independent driver/passenger side temp controls.
When I turn on the drivers side temp and set it to warm up, the warm air only blows on the passenger side, even though the passenger side controls are left off.
The drivers side air does not warm up at all.
