Question: Power door locks are not working

The power door locks stopped working. They will not lock or unlock via remote or inside switches (checked both driver and passenger sides). Have checked and replaced all fuses and relays associated with any lock or unlock doors. There is a clicking sound when you press unlock from inside switches but not actual action of unlocking or locking. While changing fuses the doors did actually lock. Also when you leave the doors unlocked and return to the truck in a couple of minutes the alarm has set and goes off when you open the door even when I didn't set the alarm.

If you have an aftermarket alarm tied into your lock circuit, i would suspect it is most likely the issue. Disconnect the alarm completely (unplug the alarm brain) and see if it resolves your issue.

If it a factory alarm, you'll have to have the dealer or a shop look at it.

It goes without saying that these pieces wear out, but they do so slowly, meaning you may not notice they need attention until ...
