Question: Pressure released when removing my gas cap

I just bought this car to run back and forth to work. When i remove the gas cap there is a lot of pressure released, shouldn't this vehicle have a vented cap? Do i need a new cap?

It's normal to have some pressure built up in the tank. It's a closed system, NOT vented (emissions). If there was a problem with the system, you would have a check engine light on, and/or a stalling engine. So if the vehicle is running well, you have nothing to be concerned about.

You'll probably get the most pressure released when the tank is low on fuel and big temp extremes.
