Question: problem and cost

hello, my honda civic ex is making a loud rooring sound in the front. i jacked it up and when i turn the tire back and forth it makes a clicking noise. i think it is the drivetrain bearings. is this posible and how much to fix it. thank you

The roaring noise is likely the front wheel bearing, but in order to tell which side is bad you have to use a stethoscope or screwdriver to hear the noise through the chassis when the vehicle is jacked up and the tires are spinning at 50mph or so. It's not a procedure for the faint of heart, so you may want to have it diagnosed by a shop.

The clicking noise is more likely from something different, possibly a CV joint if the boot is ripped.
