Question: Problems connecting ball joint on lower control arm

We're replacing the lower control arm on my car and we have got the 2 bolts in, but now the ball joint is giving us trouble in connecting it. Any ideas on how to connect it?

Why are you replacing the control arm? What exactly do you mean by trouble connecting the ball joint? Are you having trouble lining up the bolt holes, or something else? Is the ball joint you are using new or used?
