Question: random miss fire

i have the same problum i took the car into auto zone had them hook up the computer to it and it is showing random miss fire.. i had the complete ignition done as the old one stuck in the on possion the second thing that ive done was replace the wires and plugs still no difference now the third thing that im going to do is check for vacum leak which i still cant see how thats possible but nething is possible iguess so my question is what else could it be the car runs like crap i have emissions this mounth and have a check engine light on what do i do

When you say 'complete ignition' do you mean ignition lock cylinder (where the key goes into) or the coil packs (part of the primary ignition system)? These are very different parts--the first on is in the passenger compartment, the second is under the hood. If the coil packs have not been replaced, have those inspected/tested, they could easily be causing your problem.

Do you still have your old spark plugs? If so, show them to the mechanic that is looking at the coil packs, they will give some information on which cylinder is missing.

yes the ignition lock cylinder was stuck so had that replaced also i changed coil packs fixed the problum then a mounth later it started doing the same thing at that point i sold the car so thanks for input
