Question: Rattling behind glovebox.

I've recently noticed a rattling noise behind my glove box. I've opened the glove box to see if the noise if coming from there but its beyond where I can see. I don't know much about cars but I don't want to take it to a mechanic and get charged an arm and a leg.

If you have mechanical ability, you could remove the glove box to see if you can locate the rattle. If not, you will need someone to look at it.

Also know that sometimes the rattle sounds like its in the dash, when it actually is something in the engine compartment bumping up against the firewall. You might take a look there to see if there is anything loose.
