Question: Rear Brake Pad Wear

I have about 48,000 miles & the rear pads need replacement. However the front pads are like Brand New. Is this common on a Sonata? Never had rear pads wear before fronts.

It is common on many modern vehicles. Braking systems are so advanced now that the rears many times wear faster than the fronts which is exactly opposite to cars or only a few years ago. Some still wear front first then back, but not all.
