Question: rear-view camera and warranty

Dear Sir/Madam,

We bought 2012 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid in summer. We are very happy to have this car. We want to add a rear view camera to our car to park it easily. I saw this article in the Hyundai forums

" http://www.hyundai-forums.com/229-sonata-yf-hybrid/144515-installed-backup-camera-monitor-under-40-a.html "

Basically he installed the monitor to sunglass compartment. I would like to do the same. But I have two important questions;

1 - Will this affect my car's warranty?
2 - Can you refer me to an electrician or a service who can do this without canceling the warranty? (We live in Chicago Downtown 60602)

Thank you very much for your help in advance, Serdar

For advice about what will void your warranty, check with your dealership directly (or whoever the warranty is with). You can check the 'find a mechanic' link on this site for a reference.

Car Brakes: How Do You Know When to Change Them?

By Zach Bowman For those who suffer a daily commute through heavy traffic, your vehicle's braking system can bring thousands of pounds of metal, plastic and empty Starbucks cups to a stop hundreds of times before you get to work. It goes without saying that these pieces wear out, but they do so slowly, meaning you may not notice they need attention until ...
