Question: Rx300 or gx470

Hi,
I am looking for either really cheap Lexus or something around 20k
I am getting RX300 1999, 162k for $5500
I am getting GX 470 2004, 10k for $17000.

Keeping in view maintenance cost. What is your suggestion?
both car seems to be in good condition.

The newer vehicle will most likely be more reliable and spend less time in the shop. The older vehicle is cheaper but will most likely have higher maintenance costs. The choice is really yours. If it was me, I'd buy the less expensive vehicle and do the repairs myself. If it was for my daughter, I'd go for the newer vehicle.

After researching RX300 has two reported major problem
1. engine sluge
2. Transmission

you think if I buy a $7000 RX300 with 150k miles. does it worth it? my other choice is MDX 2001/2002, but that i heard has more problems.(transmission /electrical)

I am buying it for myself. I am not good with tools :-(
