Question: shift solenoid problem

im replacing my shift solenoid and noticed old one has 2 dowel pins and new has 3. is this gonna be a problem and if so how can fix it

Sounds like you have the wrong part. I wouldn't try to install it. Either get another one or get one one from the dealer directly. There should be the same amount of prongs.
