Question: Shifting delay

I noticed a delay of ~1 second when i shift from any gear to R or D. Is that normal?

Check the fluid level and condition. If you haven't had a tranny service in the past 30k miles, have the fluid and filter replaced.

A small delay is normal, but if it gets longer, it can be an initial sign of general wear. Not an emergency, but a sign that it will need to be rebuilt soon.
