Question: Should I purchase an extended warranty?

Up to you. Extended warranties are expensive and don't cover everything, but can be good piece of mind knowing that most major repairs will be taken care of. If you do decide to buy one, have the provider give you a WRITTEN list of what is and isn't covered. That way you will know what you are buying.

For me they mostly aren't worth the expense, but I am a mechanic and can repair almost anything that fails for less than the cost of most deductibles.

I personally don't buy them, but the choice is yours.
