Question: Should I replace timing belt after 7 years or can I wait for the 100000 miles recomended maintainan

I just bought a 2005 Dodge SX 2.0 (Neon) with 50000klm on it. Should I change the timing belt now and before the 100,000klm recommended by manufacturer or can I safely wait for the recommended 100,000klm even if years do by. Thanks for any information.

You probably can wait, but you might want to have someone pull the upper cover to inspect it to make sure it isn't breaking down due to age.
