Question: shut down / odometer reads No bus

The pcm gets really hot and shuts down all communication, for a short period. if i wiggle the wire connectors it will make a connection and start.

Sounds like maybe a problem with the wiring harness and/or the pcm.

You'll need to have this properly diagnosed by someone with some electrical diagnoses and repair experience.
