Question: Sounds like something hitting?

When im stopped like at a red light and I take back off it feels and sounds like something is sliding back and hitting something on the drive shaft.

That sounds like the u-joints. You can crawl under there and try to rotate the driveshaft, if there is any play (there should be some give front to back where the splines fit into the rear of the transmission) you probably need to replace the u-joints.
