Question: Stall at cold start. Car sometimes stalls in reverse, to restart you have to hold down gas pedal.
Fuel pressure is 34 psi engine running (18 psi when sitting overnight with key in on postion) Remove vacuum from FPR pressure goes to 41 psi. turn off engine #34 psi no bleed down after 10 min still 34 psi.
New spark plugs and wires,
New EGR & DPFE,
New MAF
New Fuel Filter,
New PCV ,
No vacuum leaks
New coolant temp sensor.
New Cam Sensor.
Car runs great all other times, powerful, etc.
1997 Taurus GL 116,000 miles. Occasional cylinder 3 misfire code and P1744 TCC code but transmission shifts perfect, no shudder nothing.
Coil pack is original-could this be the culprit?
