Question: Starter wiring

I recently replaced my starter on my small block chevy & think I have the wires crossed on the solenoid. Which side of the solenoid does the thicker wire go , towards dr side or pass?

Look at the terminals, they should be marked with an M and an S and follow this wiring diagram:<br>

Which thicker wire do you mean? The battery cable? It will help to know the origin of the wires when discussing them.
