Question: Sun Roof operates intermittent

When I purchased the automobile in June of 2005, I decided to purchased the extended warranty coverage which expires in May 2011. The problems I am having follows:

(1) SUNROOF - When switch is pushed forward or backward, sunroof should slide completely open or completely closed. Presently, the sunroof only slides two or three inches each time the switch is pushed forward or backward.

(2) A/C Heat System - The heater appears satisfactory most of the time. However, the AC des not cool properly even when the control is set at the lowest temperature.
(3) AUDIO SYSTEM - On more than two (2) occasions, the Audio System has gone off and could not be turned on until some time had elapsed.
(4) DRIVER INFORMATION CENTER (DIC) - The info displayed on this screen in not accurate. Distance (miles) to empty shows 200 to 300 (and etc.) miles even when fuel tank is full. Also MPG is never accurate. Maint. Mgr. informs me that this depends on my driving habits. This does not fit the case. Any recommendations or suggestions appreciated.

You'll have to check your warranty information to see what's covered.

The sunroof mechanism sounds like it might just need to be cleaned and lubricated, but might need a more serious repair.

The poor performance from the AC is probably due to lack of refrigerant from it leaking out. You'll need to have the system checked.

The Audio system is probably going to need to be replaced.

The MPG/RANGE estimates are pretty inaccurate on most vehicles but it sounds like yours might be a bit more than that.

You'll need to check your warranty documents and talk to some repair shops and go from there.

Thanks for information.
I still own this car and notice that I submitted this request for assistance 9 January 2011.
(1) Sunroof motor was replaced in February 2011.
(2) AC problem was because of my adjustment(s). I am able to adjust as necessary.
(3) MPG/RANGE is "inaccurate" most of the time. I am able to "live" with it.

Car Brakes: How Do You Know When to Change Them?

By Zach Bowman For those who suffer a daily commute through heavy traffic, your vehicle's braking system can bring thousands of pounds of metal, plastic and empty Starbucks cups to a stop hundreds of times before you get to work. It goes without saying that these pieces wear out, but they do so slowly, meaning you may not notice they need attention until ...
