Question: the 6 speed transmission shifts rapidly 1st thru 4th at under 30-35/40 mph and boggs down doing such

rapid shifting on 6 spd auto trans at low rates of speed causing bogged down acceleration-takes a while for it to catch up. makes it difficult to go from 1st and enter highway traffic. wondering if this is common-place for this model.
by the time i hit 30-35 mph, the auto is already in 4-5 gear and playing catch-up. i can push it hard, engage the gdi heavily, but this would kill my fuel efficiencey. does this sound like a problem or is it commom???

That sounds like a problem, and since your vehicle is so new, the dealership is going to have the most experience with it. It should still be under warranty. If you want to check the owner forums for similar issues, google the term '2013 kia soul forum' and do search within the forums for low power or shifting issues.

By Zach Bowman For those who suffer a daily commute through heavy traffic, your vehicle's braking system can bring thousands of pounds of metal, plastic and empty Starbucks cups to a stop hundreds of times before you get to work. It goes without saying that these pieces wear out, but they do so slowly, meaning you may not notice they need attention until ...
