Question: the car "pulls" forward without pressing the accelerator

while driving at approximately 80 km/hr, the car pulls forward slightly. Almost as though the tires are slipping on ice (can't get traction), but the road was not icy. The engine was warm and we were not in stopping/starting traffic. According to websites that detail "clutch slippage", it is not an issue with our clutch.

I think you are saying that the engine speed (tachometer reading) increases but the car doesn't accelerate? This is usually a slipping clutch/transmission.
