Question: The climate control in the car does not adjust the heat & a/c properly

The 1985 Eldorado as you know, has a digital climate control. If I put it at 72, the heat will go way beyond 72, and if I put on the a/c, I have to turn it down to 68 to get the a/c to kick in without any heat mixed in. Could you tell me what you think the isue is? If you think you do know, I'd appreciate a cost estimate for the repair/adjustment. Also, while the vehicle is low milage, it does not have the pickup it should have, Any suggestions on how to improve the pickup on the engine?

From your description, sounds like it is not sensing temperature in the passenger compartment properly. I would look at that passenger compartment temperature sensor first, verify it reads correctly and go from there. As to the second issue, normal tune up and maintenance items are all I can recommend without seeing the vehicle. There are so many factors that affect drivability issues, that to diagnose it, you really need to be at the vehicle to see what's going on.

Car Brakes: How Do You Know When to Change Them?

By Zach Bowman For those who suffer a daily commute through heavy traffic, your vehicle's braking system can bring thousands of pounds of metal, plastic and empty Starbucks cups to a stop hundreds of times before you get to work. It goes without saying that these pieces wear out, but they do so slowly, meaning you may not notice they need attention until ...
