Question: the mechaniac told me it would take a few days for my powee steering pump to break in

i took my car in to replace the power steering pump but its still making the same noise the mechanic said it would take a few days to break in is this true

No, that sounds fishy. If the system still has air in it, there is a procedure to bleed it out before calling the repair complete. It depends on the type of noise it has, but if you hear the same sound, it probably has the same problem. In the future, letting us know the repair done (it should be written on your work order) and a better description of the noise that you're hearing would be helpful.
