Question: The parking assist is not working

I noticed a warning in the dash stating that the parking assist was turned off. I pressed the "parking assist off" button to turn it back on, but the light only blinked a couple of times and the assist remained off. I checked the sensors in the back and it appears that one is missing. What would cause the sensor to fall off and would this result in the assist to not work at all?

If the sensor is broken it could cause the system to not function. Maybe someone hit the car? Hard to say.

Have the sensor replaced and the system checked for any additional problems.
